Day Unknown, Our 1st Post-Winter Update

Well, Jessie and I have been free for just over five days now and we thought we'd take a minute to explain a big decision that we have made. You may notice that the winter's worth of blog posts isn't up anymore. There is no error, it was a calculated decision. Jessie and I are in the midst of putting the blog into book form. It is a process we're just starting to learn about and I have to say, being snowed in at Many Glacier for six months was much less daunting. We're going to keep the blog address alive and post progress reports so keep your eyes peeled. The posts won't be daily but rest assured, the blog is always on our minds.

It has been a weird week. Not being at Many, not taking a webcam picture and not composing a post has been a real adjustment for both of us. We miss it. A lot. The notion of a book has served to chase away the blues though. We've set ourselves a tentative deadline of spring 2010 for the release. We're hoping to have it ready to go for Glacier's Centennial celebration next summer.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out the new website:

You can also email me at info@4thfloorphoto.com Look for upgrades to the site, which will include online print orders, in early June. I'm not sure when it happened, but Internet access has become a utility just like electricity and the phone. Gotta have it.

This is a very good decision on both your parts. Hopefully others will check in as well.

  7. Well, coming from your soon to be boss, I for one am glad you two are coming back to The Beav. While it has been nice to read about your adventures, it will be much nicer to just see you in the office and call you on the phone to go exploring. Have a safe trip down (up?) here and please give Dave my best.

  8. Just happened to checkin on you and saw your latest posting. Do you have any idean how much you're missed by me and many others? It would be fun to see someone during the "summer months" keep this up, maybe a Bellman Blog or something similar. Hint, Hint, to whomever may be reading this. I only spent 3 months summer of 1975 at this Shangrila know as Many Glacier, but I get teary-eyed each time I think of it as my other home. My wishes are to have at least part of my ashes spread there when I go to the big mountain in the sky.
